The current real estate expansion of Carolina Pines, an established golf course community at New Bern, N.C., is a project of Ellis Development Company. The Raleigh-based company has master-planned the remaining acreage for single and multi-family homes. The firm's primary focus is providing homesites and marketing assistance to its builder team. Other services of Ellis Development Company include: residential community design and construction, product selection, architectural review, and general development management services. The firm is owned and operated by Edward and Veronica Ellis, a husband and wife team with many years of experience in real estate sales, management, construction, and development. Veronica "Ronnie" Ellis is manager of construction at Carolina Pines. In that role, she works with engineers, government regulators, public utilities, and general contractors to build the new neighborhoods. In addition to her real estate development credential, she is a N.C. licensed real estate broker and a N.C. licensed general contractor. Ronnie has worked as a general brokerage agent, as well as owner of her own real estate agency. She served as co-developer of nearby Tucker Creek Estates and was the former General Manager of Carolina Pines Golf & Country Club. Edward "Eddie" Ellis manages sales and marketing for the Carolina Pines expansion. Builder team recruitment, advertising, and promotion are in his area of responsibility. Eddie is a N.C. licensed real estate broker. He is an accomplished on-site sales agent and manager, as well as a residential and commercial real estate developer. He recently built and sold West Station Trade Center, a 42-unit office condominium in Raleigh. The former owner of Ellis Publishing Company in Havelock and the founder of the Havelock News, Eddie is a Craven County native.
